The Internet of Things, or IoT, is a technology that already has a significant impact on our daily lives. It is a name for the comprehensive network of connected devices, sensors and software that enables the collection, exchange and analysis of data. Interaction between everyday objects, industrial tools, vehicles, and many more is made possible by IoT. IoT offers us new possibilities to increase efficiency, save resources and improve our quality of life.

This course explores the rapidly changing digital world, opening paths to a variety of jobs and preparing students for a connected future.

Prof. Dr.-Ing.
Norbert Gronau

Prof. Dr.-Ing.Norbert Gronau is a professor of business informatics, with a focus on processes and systems, at the University of Potsdam. In addition to his academic work, he also works as a consultant for various companies and organizations. His research interests include topics such as Knowledge Management, Enterprise Modelling, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and the Internet of Things (IoT). With his extensive experience and deep understanding of these topics, he brings valuable insights to our IoT course.
